A gift you don’t put on a shelf, but on the table. One you open, pour and share with someone. Maybe that same evening, maybe the next time you meet.

Giving LOLA means giving more than a bottle: it’s a moment to come together. Here you’ll find ideas on which LOLA suits whom, how to turn the bottle into a special gift – and what to keep in mind when ordering before Christmas.

Why is an aperitif a good gift?

Many gifts remain objects. An aperitif, on the other hand, is an invitation. It belongs at the start of an evening: when the guests arrive, dinner can still wait and everyone has time for each other. What makes an aperitif, we explain in “What Is an Aperitif?”

That’s exactly what makes it a lovely gift. You’re not just giving a taste, but the idea of taking time – for yourself and for others.

Which LOLA suits whom?

LOLA has three sides. Each flavour has its own character – and you may already recognise the person you want to give it to:

Flavour Taste For people who …
LOLA Orange Sweet + Bitter … love the classic spritz moment and miss warm evenings outdoors.
LOLA Lemon Sweet + Sour … dream of next summer in Italy and love lemon in every form.
LOLA Lime Fresh + Sour … are curious, like trying new things and enjoy a little surprise.

Not sure about their taste? “Which Aperitif Suits You?” can help – with a few questions you can just as well ask on someone else’s behalf.

How do you turn a bottle of LOLA into a special gift?

The bottle already catches the eye. With a few small extras, it becomes a gift that makes you want to plan the first evening straight away:

  • Two glasses to go with it. Large wine glasses are ideal for a spritz – and an invitation to open the bottle together.
  • Fresh citrus fruit. Orange, lemon or lime, to match the flavour. They add colour to the gift and later end up in the glass.
  • A handwritten recipe card. Write the recipe for the LOLA Spritz on a small card: 6 cl LOLA, 4 cl Prosecco, a splash of soda, ice and a slice of citrus. You’ll find more ideas in our LOLA recipes.
  • A short playlist. Five songs for the first aperitif – as a card with a QR code or simply as a list. Ideas for the right mood are in “The Sound of the Aperitif”.
  • Something small to nibble. Good olives, grissini or roasted almonds turn the gift into a complete aperitif.

When it comes to wrapping, simple beats elaborate. A piece of kraft paper, a ribbon and a sprig of rosemary let the bottle speak for itself.

Giving LOLA isn’t giving an object. It’s giving the start of an evening.

Which occasions is LOLA a good gift for?

As a host gift

Instead of the usual bottle of wine: an aperitif that can start the evening – or the next one. A lovely gesture for anyone who invites you into their home. How to make an aperitif at home a success, we show you in “Aperitif at Home: 7 Tips”.

For Secret Santa

A gift that doesn’t feel like a last-minute solution: LOLA with a glass and a recipe card fits a typical Secret Santa budget and gets people talking as it’s unwrapped. If you barely know the person, Orange – the classic spritz flavour – is a good place to start.

For the whole family at the festive table

When everyone comes together, an aperitif can open the evening. Three flavours on the table quickly become a talking point – everyone tries, everyone has a favourite. Recipes for all three flavours as a spritz are in “Aperol Spritz Alternatives”.

For clients, partners and teams

Looking for a gift for your team or business partners – perhaps in larger quantities? Tell us about your idea, with the occasion, the quantity you need and the timeframe, via our contact form. We’ll get back to you.

When should you order so that LOLA arrives in time?

In the weeks before Christmas, parcel services are busy and deliveries can take longer than usual. Our usual delivery times:

Delivery to Usual delivery time
Germany approx. 1–2 working days
EU approx. 3–5 working days
Switzerland approx. 5–8 working days

Our tip: plan a few days’ buffer during Advent and order sooner rather than later – especially if the gift is going abroad. That way, LOLA will be waiting under the tree without any stress.

What should you keep in mind when giving LOLA?

LOLA is an alcoholic drink with 18% vol. Only give it to adults aged 18 and over – ideally to people you know enjoy an aperitif.

For anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol, a different gift is the better choice. A lovely idea: two glasses, fresh citrus fruit and an alcohol-free aperitif. The moment of raising a glass stays the same.

Which LOLA will you give?

The bittersweet Orange, the sunny Lemon or the fresh Lime: choose the side of LOLA that best suits the person you’re giving it to. The first evening together will take care of the rest.
