Aperitivo on the Amalfi Coast: 5 Bars with a Sea View for Your Trip to Italy
When the light on the water softens, the most beautiful hour of the day begins on the Amalfi Coast. Five hotel bars with a sea view – and what to check before you go.
A little light still on the water, a seat with a view and time for conversation. An aperitivo can be a lovely reason to let a place sink in a little longer while you’re travelling. But which bar suits your evening – and can you drop in if you’re not staying at the hotel?
For this selection, we researched five hotel bars in Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello using their official websites. The focus is on sea views, the published drinks menu and practical tips for your visit. The selection is aimed at anyone planning a special aperitivo in an upscale hotel setting.
Research date: 14 October 2026. This editorial selection is based on information published by the operators, not on our own visits. Please confirm opening hours, menus and access conditions directly for your travel dates.

Aldo’s in Positano: where can you combine aperitivo and dinner?
If one drink is allowed to turn into a longer evening, Aldo’s at Hotel Le Sirenuse is an interesting address. The operator describes a terrace above the sea and a green outdoor lounge area. The offer includes cocktails, wine and champagne as well as Mediterranean dishes, including seafood and Neapolitan classics.
Key for your planning: for reservations by guests not staying at the hotel, Aldo’s currently states a minimum spend of €80 per person. That is not a cocktail price. Plan this visit as a deliberate highlight and check the current menu before booking.
The dress code is smart casual. According to the website, walk-ins are possible subject to availability; whether the same minimum spend applies should be checked directly. The hotel has no parking of its own on site.
Right for you if you’d like to enjoy cocktails and food in the same place and are planning a corresponding budget.

Terrace Bar at Hotel Il San Pietro: which hotel bar in Positano also welcomes outside guests?
According to the hotel, the Terrace Bar at Hotel Il San Pietro di Positano offers views of Positano, Praiano and the Li Galli islands. Flowers and tiled benches are part of the terrace’s design. As an example of its cocktail offer, the hotel names a Bellini.
Particularly helpful for your travel planning is the clear statement in the official FAQ: the bar is also open to non-resident guests and can be booked in advance. A hotel stay is therefore not generally required for a visit.
The bar page lists 8 am to midnight as opening hours. At the same time, the hotel notes that it is usually open from April to October. The daily hours are therefore not a promise of year-round service.
Right for you if you’re looking for a panoramic terrace and want to plan your aperitivo in advance without staying at the hotel.

Seascape Cocktail Bar in Praiano: where do cocktail ideas meet art and sea views?
The Seascape Cocktail Bar at Hotel Casa Angelina combines views of the Tyrrhenian Sea with modern art indoors and seating outside. For our selection, it is interesting above all for its distinctive cocktail offer.
Among other things, the official bar page features a Limoncello Mojito: with white rum, Amalfi Coast limoncello, lemon juice, mint, sugar and soda. It shows how a regional citrus touch can fit into a well-known cocktail. Whether it is available on the day of your visit depends on the menu at that time.
The bar page we checked contains no clear general statement on access for guests not staying at the hotel. Before you travel, ask about a table, access and any minimum spend that may apply.
Right for you if you’re interested in cocktail interpretations and are planning a visit to Praiano.

Azur Lounge Bar in Amalfi: where can you find a terrace overlooking the town?
The Azur Lounge Bar at Hotel Miramalfi is located at Via Salvatore Quasimodo 3 in Amalfi. The official website describes a seaside terrace with sofas and Amalfi in the background. The published offer includes cocktails and champagne; food and drinks menus are linked on the page.
This is a good option if, when choosing, you care about both the view and the chance to eat. Check the menu that matches the time of your visit: the hotel links to different menus.
The website lists daily opening hours of 12:30 pm to midnight, with dinner service until 10:30 pm. There is an enquiry form for planning. The hotel expressly points out that a booking must first be confirmed. When enquiring, also ask about visiting as an outside guest and terrace availability.
Right for you if you’d like to combine an aperitivo with a view and an optional meal in Amalfi.

Lobster & Martini Bar in Ravello: where is the martini the star?
For an evening focused on martinis, the Lobster & Martini Bar at Palazzo Avino is worth a look. The hotel sits above the sea in Ravello, at Via San Giovanni del Toro 28.
The operator mentions a selection of 100 martini variations, including classic and more unusual interpretations with seasonal fruit and herbs. It also describes lobster as well as champagne and prosecco as part of the offer. That makes the bar an option for a special evening where drinks and food belong together.
According to the operator, the bar opens at 6 pm. The information we checked does not state a clear general rule for outside bar guests. Have access, the current menu, prices and opening hours confirmed directly for your preferred date.
Right for you if Ravello is part of your trip and you’re specifically looking for a bar with a large martini selection.

What should you check before an aperitivo at a hotel bar?
A few concrete questions make the evening easier to plan. This checklist is our editorial planning aid:
- Access: Can you visit the bar on your date without staying at the hotel?
- Reservation: Is it already a confirmed booking or only a request at first?
- Budget: Is there a minimum spend, and does it apply per person? What are the cancellation conditions?
- Seating: Is an outdoor table confirmed or only requested? If needed, ask about step-free access too.
- Season and the way back: Is the bar open on your travel day, and how will you get back to your accommodation afterwards?
A helpful request might read: “We are not staying at the hotel. Can we reserve a table for an aperitif, and is there a minimum spend?” Add the date, time and number of guests so the team can give you a concrete answer.
How much does an aperitivo on the Amalfi Coast cost?
For these five addresses, we deliberately don’t give a general average price. A single drink, a visit with food and a reservation with a minimum spend are different offers.
The minimum spend of €80 per person published by Aldo’s for reservations by non-resident guests is a concrete guide for this one venue only. Don’t apply it to the other bars. Before deciding, compare the current drinks menu and the conditions for your date.
